Today is the Autumn Equinox. Day and night are the same length, and the heat and the cold are evenly balanced. The wind is slowly losing its summer heat and the sunlight has turned gentle. Autumn colour is spreading across the land, layer by layer.

In the fields the rice is full in the ear and the fruit is ripe and fragrant. This is harvest time. In the past, people marked the equinox by making offerings to the moon, standing eggs on end and eating autumn greens. Each of these customs carried a hope for a good harvest.

After the equinox the temperature falls slowly and the air turns noticeably dry. Remember to go to bed early and get up early, drink plenty of warm water and add a layer of clothing when you need it. When you have some free time, go out for a walk. Watch the falling leaves, breathe in the scent of osmanthus and enjoy the quiet that belongs only to autumn.

The day is divided evenly between daylight and dark. On this balanced autumn day, we wish you a good harvest, peace of mind and a smooth road ahead.
