1. Who we are
Kaleter Canada Inc. ("Kaleter North America", "we", "us") runs kaleterna.com. We sell poultry equipment in North America. Our office is in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
We follow the privacy laws that apply to us in Canada. These include the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
2. What we collect
What you send us. Our quote form and contact form collect your name, company or farm name, email address, and phone number. The contact form also collects your message. The quote form also collects your type of poultry operation, project type, house size, bird capacity, and any details you add. If you email, call, or message us on WhatsApp, we keep a record of it.
What we collect automatically. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It records the pages you view, your device and browser, your approximate country, and how you found us. It does not use cookies. Our hosting and security providers also keep technical logs, such as your IP address.
Business contacts from public sources. We may collect business contact details from public sources, such as company websites, industry directories, and event attendee lists. We use them to contact people about our equipment. Each message says who we are and how to opt out.
3. How we use it
We use personal information to:
- answer your request and prepare quotes,
- follow up with you about your project,
- understand how people use the site and improve it,
- keep the site secure and stop spam and abuse, and
- meet legal duties and keep normal business records.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not add you to a mailing list unless you ask.
When you send a form, you agree that we may use your details for these purposes. You can withdraw your consent at any time (see section 8).
4. Who we share it with
We share personal information only when we need to:
- Service providers. These companies help us run the site and our business: website hosting and form handling (Netlify), network security, performance, and analytics (Cloudflare), email (Google), and business software for customer records. They may use your information only to serve us.
- Head office and factory. We share quote details with our head office and factory in Shandong, China, so they can price and engineer your quote.
- Legal and business needs. We disclose information if the law requires it. We may also give it to a buyer if we sell the business.
5. Where it is stored
Our providers and our head office may store and process information in Canada, the United States, China, and other countries. Courts, law enforcement, and national security authorities in those countries may be able to access it under their laws.
6. Cookies
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our analytics tool works without cookies. If we add cookies later, we will update this policy. Where the law requires it, we will ask for your consent first.
7. How long we keep it, and how we protect it
We keep your information as long as we need it to answer your request and keep normal business records. Then we delete it or remove your identity from it.
We use reasonable safeguards, such as encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls. No system is fully secure.
8. Your choices and rights
You may ask us to:
- show you the personal information we hold about you,
- correct it,
- delete it, or
- stop using it (withdraw your consent).
Email info@kaleterna.com. We reply within 30 days. If we cannot fully agree to your request, we tell you why.
If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
9. Other sites and children
Our site links to other sites, such as kaleter.com. Their privacy practices are their own.
This site is for businesses. It is not for children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. We post the new version on this page with a new date.
