Kaleter has a major update to share: its floor-raising equipment and welfare cage equipment have both officially passed US animal welfare certification, earning independent, third-party recognition.
The certification comes from CloverLeaf Animal Welfare Systems, shown below. It confirms the equipment meets requirements aligned with the Five Freedoms of animal welfare and is approved for safe use with laying hens, a strong outside validation of Kaleter's technical strength and its welfare-focused approach to equipment design.
A Rigorous, On-Site Review
US animal welfare certification is a globally recognized high standard, and the review process is thorough and demanding. To confirm the certification's authority and accuracy, a CloverLeaf auditor traveled to Kaleter in person for a full on-site review, from the factory floor to a working farm.
At Kaleter's facility, the auditor toured the product showroom and production workshop, closely reviewing the equipment. Kaleter provided a full set of documentation showing how animal welfare is considered at every step, so equipment supports farming efficiency while still letting birds move freely and rest comfortably, in line with the Five Freedoms principle.
After the facility review, the auditor visited a partner farm running Kaleter equipment. The flock's health, activity, and orderly growth drew high marks from the auditor.
Welfare Built Into the Design
Passing this certification reflects years of commitment to animal welfare in how Kaleter designs its equipment. Welfare has been part of the design from the start:
