In Part 1 we covered Kaleter's two manual broiler catching cages. This time, two automatic systems — a slatted-floor (manure-belt) cage and a chain-type cage. Both unload birds automatically; here's how each one works.
Slatted-floor cage

This cage uses a tray feeding line, with a feed tray and water nipple in every cage. The floor is a PP slatted panel: droppings fall through the gaps onto a conveyor belt that carries them out automatically for easy cleaning. When it's time to unload birds, the slatted floor lifts out and the birds drop onto the belt to be conveyed out. One note — clear the manure before unloading the birds.
Chain-type cage

Like the slatted-floor system, the chain-type cage uses tray feeding, and comes in two-, three-, and four-tier stacked configurations to match your site. The difference: it has a dedicated bird conveyor belt, so birds and manure are removed at the same time — no separate steps, and no need to clean manure first. The result is faster operation and a cleaner, more hygienic house.
